How to play
WARSPACE plays like a classic tactical shooter: one life a round, a bomb to plant or defuse, and guns that reward first shots. Here is everything you need for your first match.
Your first match
Open warspace.gg on a computer, with a mouse and a keyboard. Nothing to download. On PLAY:
- PRACTICE: offline against bots, no account. Pick a map, a side and the bots' level, then PLAY.
- CASUAL: rooms with friends. Create one, join one by its code, or press QUICK PLAY.
- RANKED: rated matches, alone or with a party. See how ranked works.
Online play needs a Discord account; practice never does.
How a round plays
Freeze time (3 seconds): pick your weapons on the BUY page, which opens by itself. Everything is free: there is no money. Every player spawns with 100 health, 100 armour and a helmet.
The round lasts 1:55 on the 5v5 maps and 1:30 on the 2v2 maps. The Ts must plant the C4 on a bomb site; the CTs must stop them, or defuse it. Wiping out the other side also wins the round.
One life: there is no respawn in a round. If you die, you watch a teammate until the next round.
The match is first to 8 rounds in 5v5 and 9 in 2v2. Ranked matches swap sides at halftime.
You can change your picks on the BUY page (B) during freeze time, or within 10 metres of your spawn early in the round. Your picks stay for the next rounds.
Stop, then shoot
Guns are accurate when you stand still and much less so while you run or jump. Stop before you shoot, and fire short bursts: the spray climbs. Walking (SHIFT) is silent; running is not, and footsteps carry.
The planet is small: the horizon is about 25 metres away, so fights are close and come over the curve. A lap of the planet takes about 54 seconds with a knife out. See every gun's numbers in Weapons.
Default keys
Change any of them in OPTIONS → KEYS. Keys are physical, so WASD stays WASD on any keyboard layout.

Interface
Bring your CS settings
Sensitivity uses the same scale as CS:GO and CS2: enter your CS sensitivity. Field of view is horizontal degrees at 4:3, as in CS; 90 matches CS:GO.
Crosshair: the same settings and share codes as CS:GO and CS2. Paste a CSGO-… code in OPTIONS → CROSSHAIR.
The console (`) takes your autoexec lines: sensitivity, fov_cs, every cl_crosshair setting, bind, net_graph, cl_showfps and more.
Easy, medium, hard
Bots differ in sight, reaction and aim, never in damage. An easy bot sees about 30 metres and reacts in over half a second; a hard one sees about 55 metres and reacts in about a fifth of a second.
