About WARSPACE
A tactical shooter you play in the browser, on a planet small enough to run around in a minute.
What it is
WARSPACE is a free first-person tactical shooter for the browser: one life a round, a bomb to plant or defuse, 2 maps for 5v5 and 2 for 2v2, practice against bots, casual rooms, ranked matches, and a map editor.
The guns follow Counter-Strike 1.6's numbers, from the open-source ReGameDLL; the knife and the grenades follow CS:GO's. WARSPACE is independent and not affiliated with Valve.
A world 55 metres round
Every map is built on one sphere with a radius of 55 metres. The size is not arbitrary: a lap of it at a run takes about as long as a lap of a classic Counter-Strike map, about a minute. The horizon is close, so fights come over the curve, and high ground buys range.
In the browser
WARSPACE is written for the web with three.js. Most of its textures, and all of its sounds and music, are generated in code. Matches run on servers in Tel Aviv and the US East at 64 ticks a second. Accounts use Discord sign-in, and the privacy page lists everything that is stored.
